Mayor Cary Jackson and his wife, Stacie, have lived in South Breeze since 2015 with their three children, Cameron, Payton and Emma. Stacie is employed by Valley Community Services Board in Staunton where she is the Infant and Toddler Connection manager. Cameron graduated from University of Mary Washington and remains in Fredericksburg for work.  Payton attends Messiah University and is on the wrestling team. Emma attends Turner Ashby High School  and spends most of her free time giving riding lessons and spending time with her horse.

Cary and Stacie own Mane Couse Sandwiches in Charlottesville. They opened Which Wich in 2011 and converted it into an independent restaurant at the end of their franchise agreement.  Prior  to that, Cary worked for Sysco Food Services of VA and Hospitality Hotel Group.

Cary enjoys being active in the community and believes that service to humanity is the best work of life.

They chose Dayton to raise their family because of the safe and friendly environment. (Term expires 12/31/2024)

Cary Jackson also serves as Council Representative on the Economic Development Authority with a term expiring 7/10/2024.  He serves on the Finance Committee, the Police Committee and the Parks, Recreation and Beautification Committee.
