Giving Tree Kick-off at Braithwaite Studios – Monday, November 27th
Stop by Braithwaite Studios & Coffee Shop on Mason Street today, or any day during the holiday season, to pick up your Giving Tree tag to support local Dayton families in need. While you’re at the studio, browse the glass art selection and enjoy a hot drink, soup, or sandwich!
Town Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting – Saturday, December 2nd, 4:30pm
Grab your neighbor and head down to Main Street and College Street to watch the Christmas Parade at 4:30, followed by the Dayton Christmas Tree Lighting, singing of Silent Night, and hot chocolate at College Street Pavilion.

2017 Town Ornament Sales Begin – Tuesday, December 5th
The 4th annual Dayton Town Ornament goes on sale at 8am at the Dayton Town Office. A different building or scene from Dayton is featured on the ornament each year. The 2017 Town Ornament features Silver Lake
Mill. Previous year ornaments are also available in limited quantities. This collectible ornament is the perfect gift for the person who has everything!
Town of Dayton Christmas Party – DLC – Wednesday, December 6th, 6:30pm
We’ll see you at The Dayton Learning Center for the Town Christmas Party! **Please note the location change from previous years. Join us for an evening of Christmas spirit, photo booth fun, refreshments, music, raffles, and children’s activities. Everyone’s favorite bearded man in a big red suit will of course also be making an appearance.
An Old Fashioned Holiday at Silver Lake Mill – Thursday, December 7th, 4-7pm
Come visit with old friends and meet new ones at an old-fashioned holiday being celebrated at Silver Lake Mill! There will be children’s activities, holiday decorating ideas, and comfort food including hot cocoa. Check out holiday gift sets with local items while enjoying holiday music. Letters to Santa- Mailbox on Main Street – Tuesday, December 19th
Santa’s workshop has leased the Town a mailbox where letters to Santa can be mailed directly to the North Pole. The mailbox can be found all season long on Main Street in the garden area beside Mane Street Salon (201 Main Street). Don’t forget to mail your letter early so it gets to the North Pole by Christmas! Postage is not required.
Holiday Home Decorating Contest – Thursday, December 21st, 7-10pm
Hang up the lights, bring out the wreaths, and set up the reindeer! Decorate the exterior of your house and yard for a chance to claim bragging rights as the best decorated house in the Town. Judging will be based on originality/creativity, attractiveness, and design/theme.
