Dayton Planning Commission meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. as needed.

The Dayton Town Council and Planning Commission will hold a Joint Public Hearing to hear citizen input regarding proposed amendments to Title 9, Zoning, Chapter 3, Administration and Enforcement and Chapter 21, Signs, Billboards, and other Advertising Structures.
The Planning Commission will hold a Special Called Meeting immediately following the Public Hearing to discuss the proposed amendments and make recommendations to the Council. The regular October Town Council meeting will follow these meetings at 6:00 p.m.

SPECIAL MESSAGE TO THE PUBLIC:
Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order restricting public gatherings, this meeting will be open to the public. However, maximum occupancy of the Council Chambers will be limited to 16 audience members.
If you are unable to appear in person, please submit any public comments that you would like to be heard at the hearing by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020 through the following options:

CANCELLED:
The Dayton Economic Development Authority will hold a meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in the Town of Dayton Council Chambers, 125 B Eastview Street, Dayton Virginia. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss a potential small business grant program funded through the CARES Act (passing through the Town of Dayton and administered by the EDA).

Please join us as we engage in a facilitated discussion regarding the needs of the Dayton business community, sharing constructive thoughts and ideas that will benefit the business community as a whole. Dayton Town Council Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. except in the event of a Holiday, when they move to the following Tuesday.
On, Monday, February 8, 2021 beginning at 5:15 p.m., Town Council will hold a Special Called Meeting to convene into closed session to interview applicants for Town Boards and Commissions. This meeting will be followed by the Regular Dayton Town Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m.
The agenda will be posted here on the Friday preceding the meeting.
