Dayton Planning Commission meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. as needed.
Police Chief Justin Trout invites you to attend a Chief’s Town Hall Meeting. He will review and discuss the results
of the recent Police Department Survey and open the meeting up to answer any questions that you may have.
This will also be an opportunity to discuss the future direction of the Dayton Police Department.
There will be an Economic Development Authority Meeting held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, 5:30 pm, in Council Chambers at the Town Municipal Building. Meeting POSTPONED.

Mayor Sam Lee has called a special meeting of the Town Council for the purposes of conducting interviews for potential Town Council seat appointments.
This meeting will be held remotely via Zoom pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Orders restricting gatherings of 10 or more people. This meeting will be held in closed session in accordance with Section 2.2-3711(A)(1) of the Code of Virginia – Discussion of prospective candidates for appointment to council, planning commission, zoning board of appeals, and/or economic development authority. Any inquiries as to this meeting should be directed to the Clerk at chall@daytonva.us.

Interested in running for election for the Dayton Town Council? Please join us in this Zoom webinar/meeting for a Council Election Pre-Orientation. This event will be hosted by Dayton’s Town Manager, Angela Lawrence. She will provide information on the roles, responsibilities and expectations of Town Council members. The Dayton Town Council meets monthly on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and as needed. Each Council member also serves on two committees, which meet quarterly and as needed.
