Now through November 15, 2019, visit any six participating shops &/or restaurants within the Town of Dayton and get your card punched to be eligible for great prizes including a 3 day/2 night vacation package, ski season passes, or combo passes at Massanutten Resort. No purchase necessary. However, we encourage you to take this opportunity to check out all the wonderful places Dayton has to offer. Passports may be picked up at the Town Hall or at any of the participating retailers. Completed passports must be returned to the Dayton Town Hall to be included in the drawings. Drawings will be held on Fridays, from October 18th to November 15th.

Please take a few minutes of your time to complete a survey on the Dayton Police Department. The purpose of this survey is to help us better understand how the Dayton Community perceives the Police Department and to ask for input on how we can improve. The surveys may be completed online by clicking this link. Or, if you prefer, you may download a copy here to print, complete and return to the Town Office. Surveys must be submitted by Friday, January 24, 2020.

JOIN YOUR NEIGHBORS AND THE DAYTON POLICE OFFICERS FOR NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2020!
This event is typically held the first Tuesday in August, but has been moved to October due to COVID restrictions.
Join your neighbors and the Dayton Police Department for National Night Out on Tuesday, October 6th from 6-8 p.m. This event would typically be held socially in Sunset Park, but due to COVID, it will be held as a mobile event this year. Officers will drive through Town in a parade style fashion, waving to residents and handing out goodies. Watch the Police Department Facebook page for updates.

Dayton is enhancing our annual holiday decorating contest this year to encourage people to Deck Dayton Out in Holiday Cheer! We have added more categories and have posted a Directory of Lights with a map to encourage all to enjoy a tour of holiday lights through Dayton. We need your help to Deck Dayton Out! Let’s make our Town the place to visit this holiday season!

Categories include:
Clark Griswold Award (residential judged category): National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is a holiday favorite! Their house was completely decked out with lights and decorations. This category is totally over the top!
WINNER: 210 Keswick Drive
Classic Holiday Elegance Award (residential judged category): Very traditional and basic; clean, crisp, and tidy. This category is all about celebrating the traditions of the holiday.
WINNER: 200 Keswick Drive
Winter Wonderland (residential judged category): This category is more theme concentrated, featuring snow, reindeer, snowmen, inflatables and/or lawn decorations.
WINNER: 119 Rhodes Hill Drive
Santa’s Workshop Award (business judged category): This category is for Businesses only and will be awarded to the business with the best overall holiday display.
WINNER: 201 & 205 Main Street (Mane Street Salon and Heritage Real Estate)
People’s Choice Award (spectator voted): This will be awarded by a cumulative majority vote of the spectators.
WINNER: 145 Eastview Street

The Town Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 3–Times, locations and additional details will be forthcoming. Keep watching our website and/or Facebook page for more details to come!

Get ready for the annual Muddler event! Town of Dayton is transformed into a unique 4-mile “mud adventure” course through the historic streets, in & out of parks, and through farm land. Participants will encounter over 40 obstacles, many that are physically (and some mentally) challenging, along with a number of opportunities to get very muddy and wet!
